They’re Back…

Are the Sixers playing basketball once again? Since the A.I. trade, the Sixers had not sold out a basketball game, had not had much support from their fans or city, and have had no respect in the league or the media. But now, things have changed.
Despite a loss to the league’s best team the other night, the Sixers sold out their first game of the Season. That loss snapped the team’s eight game home winning streak, but they rebounded very well, winning their fourth straight on the road tonight against the Pistons. With their most recent win, the team has now won 13 of their last 17 games to propel them all the way into the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference. This team has built up a great chemistry, and look to move even higher in the standings, maybe even to fifth place, which they are just 3.5 games back of, and with Chris Bosh out, the Raptors could start dropping games.
Andre Miller’s performance has been the main reason for this team’s success. He is averaging a career high in points per game, with 16.9, and also a career high in field goal percentage, shooting 49.3% on the season, which is outstanding for a guard. His veteran leadership has really led this team during this outstanding streak, and hopefully can guide this team once the playoffs start. Although they are only the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference, this team should be so proud of themselves for tuning out the doubters, and playing excellent basketball during the crucial parts of the season. This next streak of upcoming games will prove to the league if they are a real team, or just a fluke, playing some of the best teams from both conferences over the next few weeks. Worst comes to worst, the Sixers will still have two fans; myself, and the crazy bald guy who wears ridiculous colored shirts in the second row across from the benches, who somehow knows all of the refs and players.
