End of an Era Part Deux

I’ve thought for the longest time, right up until the start of this season in fact, that Joe Gibbs was the wrong man for the Redskins coaching job. As you all know the Creatures were on the ‘Skins fanwagon long before it became as cool as the picking the Jags to upset the Pats this weekend. So naturally, we’re all very sad to see him go…again.
After Sean Taylor’s passing just 6 weeks ago, I could think of no better man to lead the Washington Redskins on their triumphant and emotional playoff run. He was like a father figure to these young men. He’s been around the block and understands how difficult lose can be and what it can do to a group as close as a football team. Not only did he do an excellent job being an emotional mentor, he was a damn good coach as well. My hat’s off to Joe. Have fun with your NASCAR team.
